PUMA believes in integrating sustainability into every aspect of its manufacturing processes for all products—from the sourcing of raw materials to the manufacturing stage—addressing both environmental and social concerns. Each year, PUMA produces millions of shoes and textiles. While sustainability collections are designed to inspire consumers, PUMA recognizes that if sustainability does not play a significant role in the majority of its products, it will fail to drive meaningful change. Sourcing materials and manufacturing products inevitably leave an environmental and social footprint. To optimize its impact on the environment and communities, PUMA is committed to making its entire sourcing and production processes more sustainable. This includes sourcing key materials such as cotton, polyester, leather, and cardboard from more sustainable sources, striving to eliminate more harmful chemicals from its production processes, and reducing carbon emissions both in its own operations and across its supply chain. PUMA also emphasizes the importance of industry collaborations, believing that only through collective efforts and mutual support can the industry introduce innovative, sustainable processes and solutions that drive real change. As a long-term member of numerous industry collaborations, PUMA addresses a wide range of environmental and social issues that require joint action from all players in the industry.
