Climate Actions
In 2018, Levi Strauss & Co. (LS&Co.)became one of the first brands in the apparel sector to have its Science Based Targets (SBTs) validated. Since then, LS&Co. has achieved emissions reductions across all scopes. In 2023, as global average temperatures and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reached record highs, LS&Co. responded to urgent calls for climate action by setting an updated net-zero target validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and adapting its Scope 3 target with a new baseline year. In 2022, LS&Co. completed a climate scenario analysis, identifying climate risks and opportunities across its value chain. Additionally, LS&Co. conducted a comprehensive quantification of its biodiversity footprint, which provided the foundation for setting targets to address critical natural capital impacts and dependencies.
